Might I remind the community, especially for those who have forgotten, that Unban Requests are supposed to follow a certain template.

Why you deserve to be unbanned:

Do NOT take it upon yourself to start a whole thread for the community to discuss the unbanning of a certain person. This is in no way productive or in line with the rules of the forum. It clearly states that if you want to make an unban request, do so using the correct format listed above.

This includes unban requests you are making on behalf of somebody else. That's right, you CAN make unban requests on somebody else's behalf if you so wish to do so (and have cleared this with the Staff+, certain people must make thier OWN ban report because they have too much of a history). This allows the Staff and Advisors to decide on the matter without undue interruption or input from anybody else, just as there wouldn't be on any other unban request.

The forum rules are very clear that you should be using the correct format, and NOT creating a thread for discussion when it comes to an unban request. I hope in future that everybody can abide by these rules (although most of you already do).

This isn't really aimed at members because you shouldn't really be getting banned anyway, and if you do you a) obviously deserve it, and b) probably won't be here much longer if you don't book your ideas up.

So please for the love of God, Kharn, Bourne, ya boy woissa and all other things holy, use the correct format for unban requests, and do not bitch if the outcome is not that which you desired, as we have very fair-minded, level-headed objective staff in place to make these decisions, and we should trust the decisions they make are the correct ones.

People won't be unbanned because other people start discussions about them and their ban.. People shouldn't get unbanned unless they make an unban request themselves.

I'd like the promotion, the paycheck and parking spot. But I don’t really want to be in charge of anything.

Dont get confused, there's a difference between making a ban appeal for someone else and making a thread that promotes the discussion of whether or not everyone is happy with a decision.
I always hear people emphasize the importance of us being a community, but last time I checked being a community means everyone's opinion matters, not just the opinion of staff+

It doesn't matter whether people are happy with the decision to ban somebody. If they have done wrong and broken the rules, they get banned, nobody gets special treatment just because you like them. Drop this crusade against golgames and love for Papa Johns. He's banned, that's that.

This thread is completely separate and is to remind everybody of the format and way in which unban requests should be posted. There is no other reason to discuss unbanning of somebody on the forums, if they want to be unbanned they'll request it.

If he doesn't come here and make a proper appeal nothing is going to happen. He's not going to get unbanned just because you keep crying that you miss him.

Sure they'll ask for the community's opinions on certain matters but they don't have to take your wishes into account for anything they do, and thinking you're entitled to make them listen to your constant bitching is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

I'm not saying anyone has to do anything, but even if they won't unban him what's wrong with having a discussion about it as long as it stays constructive?
I hear people complain about it daily so I thought it'd be a good idea to get it out in the open, so people aren't just harboring negative feelings for one another.
I get it, he's not being unbanned, that's not what this is about. Who's forcing their hand to make them read the thread?
I said I was entitled to make threads about it, it's not meant to target staff, but to have more clarity in the community, not everyone is driven by personal vendettas.

I'd like to add that by adding sarcasm to your ban appeal, or just not taking anything seriously then we don't have to take your request seriously. (AKA, finding the information instead of putting "idk", putting valid reasons to unban, etc.) It's that simple. You have the tools to find everything in the appeal you need (via http://elevatedgaming.net/sb/ and our ban reports/requests) If someone wants to get unbanned, then they'll do it themselves with some sense of seriousness. The only time I can think of at the moment that you would need to make an appeal for someone else is if they are forum banned on top of their server ban.

Hey wossia no offense or anything but if this was a serious post, a staff+ should of wrote this. I know you're just trying to help but it kind of means nothing when it's comes from somebody with minimal authority, you really shouldn't be trying to police the forums even if you mean well. Just my two cents

I love how this whole time it's been "This is just beating a dead horse, let me lock every thread made to actually discuss it."
But here we are allowing other people to make threads patronizing people who disagree with it.
Woissa we've all seen the form to an unban request, you know that just as well as anyone else.
If you wanted to add something on the subject you should have left my thread unlocked.

-edit

Quite frankly I don't think anyone else really cares that he hurt your feelings with sarcasm in his unban request.
People don't care about your internet ego, we just want to have fun in jailbreak.
