I have 2 gripes. First is compulsory admin school for people who have ALREADY passed. Seconds are the questions in the test.

I think I speak on behalf of many admins when there is simply a disconnect between staff and admins. I believe I am damn good admin and I know many other excellent admins who dedicate their time to this server only to be offended with an admin school. Most admins such as myself Already passed the Admin School first time round with Mecr / Caboose. Admin School should ONLY be for 1) New Admins 2) Disciplinary measure against "bad" admins.

The questions on the test. I make tests for a living. This test is a joke. THERE ARE SOOOO MANY MISTAKES. I recieved 11/15 73% Alex has informed me I have fallen 1 short of passing.(I wont list the "good" questions as they should remain unseen for future participants.

Question 1: "If a fellow member of EGN is on CT and dies first during ratio you are allowed to move him to T."
I selected False. I am Wrong because the maker of the test says it is true.

HOWEVER, SINCE THE DAY I HAVE BECOME ADMIN on this server the one rule ive been told that should NEVER be broken is to NEVER use admin on a fellow EGN member. We all know this. This question is wrong. If you want to be pitty and challange me by deffending this shit question I can easily find posts on these forums with Staff / Doldol / Kharn repeating this.

In my experince admining on this server. I simply inform the EGN member via microphone and they comply as they completely understand. Now does that make me a bad admin?

I Answered C 95%+ I was wrongg Answer was 60%+
I have been told over and over that I can not do a round of something unorthdox if 1 person in the server disagrees. So the answer is 100%.

Question 12: "Someone is on the server attempting to break rules yet waits for the right opportunity, you feel that if you secretly go undercover you may catch them in the act, is this the right thing to do?"
Now I have never gone undercover and never plan too, as I simply don't see the point of it.
The answers are
A. Whos idea was that? (Really... this shouldnt be in a professional test....
B. Yes going undercover will help the server out! (This answer is Correct. It would help the server out. It does not specify that the admin will remove his tags and do it though. Theoretically speaking euthanizing our prison population will help society but no one will do it.
C) I think it is a great idea to go undercover! (How is this wrong? Do you have access to my thoughts?
D) Not at all (As I said I never knew this was the case. I have never done it but I know many admins who do.

I would like to end this post by saying this is not a rant towards Sibblet as she is a lovely person. But this is my point of view.

More questions which are wrong.
Question 3: "When someone commits an offence against the rules, what do you do?"
A. Ct Ban them
B. Slay them and inform them why (Correct answer)
C. Slay them withotu warning
D. ban them

"Offence against the rules" is so broad.
Mass Freekilling is against the rules. In this Case D would be correct.
Porn Spray / Racism / Hacking / Mic Spam are all against the rules also requiring methods of discipline that dont involve slays.

NONE OF THESE ANSWERS ARE RIGHT. KHARN HIMSELF POSTED LAST WEEK ADMINS MUST NOT ACT ON INSULTS. I will link the thread if anyone doesnt believe me.

Question 11: I disagree with this question. As I believe everything should be settled with the person first before being escalated. Kharn has made this clear on the forums. I wont specify this question though as I believe it is a good question the answers just need to change.

So essentially, I would like the following two types of people to comment. Please specify which category you are in.

1) Admins who
A. Had NOTHING to do with admin school
B. Who have PASSED a previous admin school and have had no disciplinary issues.

What do you think about the situation and the test?

2) Staff+
A. People who put together this test
B. People with authority to talk about the reasoning on the answers.

After talking to Alex on TeamSpeak. he is still too stubborn to realise he is in the wrong. So I will search the EGN website looking for evidence to back up my claims.

Another rule on the Clan FAQ page says the punishment for 1st port of call is to warn them not mute them.

You are False since all admins are allowed to mute/gag/swap/slay a EgN Member
However they are not allowed to kick or ban for any reason at all!

If I do remember correctly Wartheft and Kharn had agreed with Sibblet that it should 60%+

Your job as an admin isn't to go on a masquerade to "attempt" to stop someone who may or may not be trying to break the rules.
Your job as an admin is to try your best to keep the server clean and fun at all times.

Once you have muted them for three rounds that is there final warning right before they get kicked.

You are allowed to mute/gag them if they are disrupting gameplay.But you are not allowed to do both allow them one way of speaking.

It would have been much better if you would have pmed Sibblet about this as she did tell everyone that if you saw a problem or if you failed the test pm her about it not to give away the answers to 6 questions. You have basically ruined half of the test because you assumed everyone would make the same mistakes as you did.

On another note, I'm glad that this was sent as a PM to Sibblet rather than being posted all over the forums. Unfortunately, she'll probably have to create another quiz now, which everyone will probably have to take again. Constructive criticism is more than welcome to develop this whole thing to fill in the gap that was left when Caboose left. Arguing over things without providing ways to solve them is one of my pet peeves. I'll go ahead and lock this for Kharn and Sibblet to review and reply.

Try to keep in mind that over the next few weeks I and Sibblet will continue to work on the curriculum for admin school and the tests, this generally means constantly refining our methods and working to cover a very broad set of rules and regulations. Of course most of our focus is on JB's Admins since thats where we get the most complaints and where we have the most difficulty in enforcing rules upon the public.

I've been able to become more active since around the start of September and in those weeks leading up to now I've heard near constant complaints about admins ignoring or not enforcing certain rules, with so many complaints I began to play in JB far more than I normally would and I've begun to see just how huge of an issue this actually is. Nearly every single admin I've watched handle problems has made some mistake in how they are handling the huge variety of everyday problems that arise, and its not like they are all making the same error for the same situation. Even just how admins deal with Free-Kill's seem to change from each admin, what makes this even more strange is that multiple admins will be present and each of them will deal with different situations completely different manners and nothing is said or questioned.

Now in-regards to EVERYONE WITH ADMIN being asked to retake admin school/testing:

I understand that some of you feel absolutely sure in the way you are using your admin, I've even had some of the new admins argue with me over admin policy and JB Server Rules and Definition of those rules. But if I can't get all of you working on the same page and at the same speed then it will continue to be a mess in that server, its not fair to the players and to all of you that these rules and regulations are not enforced evenly across the server and by all admins. Most of you have donated to get the admin you are using and feel as though you have a right to use it as you wish, and I've even had people say "I paid for this admin and I want to enjoy it and have fun, now I can finally punish anyone who abuses me or Freekills me!" and actually believed thats exactly what they're admin is for.

We aren't mad or accusing or punishing anyone, the goal for this entire re-boot of our admin school isn't to kick people off admin or to strip people of it. We are doing this for the good of the server and for the good of the community, even now there is a group of EgN members who refuse to play JB.

So I'm asking everyone to be patient with us as we go through these next few days and weeks, I know Sibblet could organize this herself quite easily but that I'm sticking my nose into it is what's also dragging out this process.
