But as for both Jdawg and Goldgames post I agree with much of whats been posted there and hope that both of them are looked over and considered for discussion on time for the meeting. Both have great ideas to help move forward in my opinion.

So I think we need at least a week apart at minimum between server releases.

I was in a gaming community once and a guy was stripped for abusing his admin. So he did a charge back because he had paid for a service he didn't have any longer. It was something like $160 and the leader at the time didn't have the funds in the clan's Paypal or his current account to cover it so he closed the community. If I recall correctly (it was 2008) he had donated through Paypal on his parents credit card and I think they pulled the whole we got our card stolen, please reverse this transaction excuse. It's not worth Matt going into personal debt over EgN, I'm sure he'd agree lol. People send donations as cash gifts anyway, if anybody asks Matt buys his mates a lot of pizza and that's how they pay for their share innit.

I may be confused about the legality surrounding all of this, but how does the creation of a terms and services document not prevent an abuse of chargeback abuse? If we have a terms and services document that explicitly states that "EgN reserves the right to revoke administration powers on the account of abuse of said administration powers without refund", wouldn't that prevent chargeback on the account of denial of service?

Also the "I got my credit card stolen" shit, how would the scenario be different in the donation for admin situation as opposed to the buy admin situation? Wouldn't we be fucked either way?

Personally I think automatic promotions are boring and tend to be annoying and cause problems. Not just the fact that it can be hard to keep track of who needs to be promoted but also for example, from my understanding, Rad was up for a promotion last cycle but he couldn’t be promoted because he had to wait his 30 days to get his automatic promotion to Elite first.

Also I don’t think having Elder hurts, some people enjoy going through the ranks and it’s one more thing for them to aim for before most hit a dead end. I guess if you make Eite how it used to be you’d effectively be creating another rank to earn a promotion to so it would cancel out.

But yeah automatic promotions are boring and really devalue the rank.

EgN is not for everyone and it’s not something you can do your entire life. People leave for many good reasons such as their life’s is busy with work, their time is up and they can’t dedicate hours to games, etc. So it’s for the people who can’t be here but would still like to show some support without being fully committed.

This will probably be my one and only post to this thread, but GP does not condone badmouthing EgN nor its members. I cant tell you how many times I've asked people to not do that(Not GP members, just people playing the game).

Also, I don't know of anyone ever advertising on EgN servers, or purposefully trying to pull people away from EgN. Those of you that know me, should know I have nothing against anyone at EgN or anything like that, I just want to clear the air on this little bit.
