The OP asked asked for my opinion, so here it is:

EgN has never given two fucks what other clans/communities do or have done. To change to special charectors just because others are doing so?? That, just ain’t the way we work.

That, and the fact that special characters in clan tags haven’t been cool since circa 1997 mean that this should never happen.
