Do you prefer Discord or Teamspeak?

With the recent talk at the meeting about potentially switching to Discord or at least giving it more attention, I was wondering how everyone felt about Discord.

Personally, I think Discord is much more modern and generally more user-friendly but I think Teamspeak also has a lot of pros as well in terms of voice quality, latency, etc. What are your thoughts on each platform and which do you prefer?

Discord is good, it's pretty good and I do personally use it from time to time But i think personally we should stick with Teamspeak, or maybe until the new Teamspeak gets released got knows when but Teamspeak has been our original voice communication for a long time and personally, I prefer Teamspeak.

I like discord because it's lightweight and it's easier to just "hop on quick."
I like TeamSpeak because we can customize lobbies and have pictures / descriptions on etc.

i prefer discord, mainly because i use it alot. the only reason i have teamspeak is because of EgN .

Discord is undeniably a formidable competitor in any VoIP application software's but naturally to those who use Teamspeak from when they first joined (which is actually not many for newer members, could be a good time to promote it more) it may be hard to grab their attention towards Discord. But would say that the two, Discord and Teamspeak, are practically on equal terms of flexibility, utility, and performance. But long-term, we should start promoting Discord when recruiting and introducing that person to the clan (that is when we can have another server besides a Counter Strike: Source server considering it's much more modern anywhere else). But out of preference, I'll always lean towards Discord.

It really depends on what type of community you're trying to accomplish or make. In this community I believe TeamSpeak is the better option.

discord is by and large simpler to use and for newer people, easier to navigate.

teamspeak is more secure and has better customization and permission options.

personally dont see the uber appeal to descriptions or lobby images, but they can be a neat addition.

I personally like Discord better, although Teamspeak has always been something i used in clans on source, making it pretty much just as good as Discord.. But if you are going by factual evidence i'd say their pretty much the same and that neither are a lot better then the other.
