Today was an extremely hard day for me.
I'm sort of just ranting and venting so I apologize first and foremost but I'll make it simple, short and to the point.
I buried my mother today and it was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life.
So I leave you with this..
Call your loved ones and tell them you love them.
Get things off your chest.
Speak up, speak out and always speak your mind.
You might not get the chance to and it creates and empty void inside of you that can never be filled.
It's always important no matter how insignificant your conversation may be.
Don't take this life for granted. You only get one, make it count.

Hey man I wish you the best. Nothing will help your current situation more than time. While it tends to seem impossible at first, life still goes on and eventually you will go on with life just like before.

Currently going through somewhat the same with my grandfather. I have always had really close relationships with my grandparents, and he is my only grandparent left. At 89 years, he's struggling with dementia, and is reduced to little of the great man he used to be. What I have noticed is how much he lights up with the simplest of efforts, such as just speaking to him for a few minutes, and explicitly telling him that I care for him, and that he's a good grandfather for me to have/have had.

While it takes little effort, just telling people close to you that you love them/care for them when you can might make a big difference.
