Moving to a spray isnt a new game so unless he specifically says "Simon says simon says is over (we're playing a new game)" then yes he's in the wrong. However if he had said okay were going to play musical chairs then simon says is automatically over because thats a new game.

The game "Simon Says" is only over by stating a new game or by rephrasing "Simon Says we are no longer playing Simon Says", "Simon Says I'm no longer Simon"
"Time always flows equal and doesn’t undergo any changes, independent of existence or absence of things, independent of their motion or rest."

I think it's considered extreme wordplay to say "We aren't playing Simon Says anymore" and kill people who start doing the regular orders, at least that's what I remember hearing at the admin meeting.

Just a concern, wouldn't this also make "all Ts jump," (while playing Simon Says) extreme wordplay then? Please correct me if I am mistaken.

No, because that's apart of the game, this would imply the game is ending.

You wouldn't say "We are playing math trivia for a prize; 1-1" and then say "Never mind we aren't playing trivia anymore" and still pick a winner and give them the prize.

Ah, ok.

This is specifically what I was referencing from the meeting. New locations DON'T end games BUT if you say "Okay all T's follow me we are going to colors" it's considered extreme wordplay because slightly before the clip Matt said all it takes to end Simon Says is simply saying "Math Trivia" and nothing else. You are telling them to go to a location BUT you are also technically stating another game like the rule says by specifically naming colors.

This is slightly different but I think it's extremely similar at the same time based on people's interpretations on how you can end Simon Says. The rules only specifically say that stating a new game ends Simon Says, but people also do the thing where they say "Simon says we are no longer playing Simon says" (which isn't in the rules). You are telling them they are no longer playing the game, but then you kill them if they stop playing it. Obviously saying "We aren't playing this game anymore" doesn't necessarily mean another game will start, but it does imply that the warden is clearly going to play another game or do something else, the T's aren't going to sit there and wait out the timer for the rest of the round. Personally, I'd say this is just as much extreme wordplay as saying "All T's go to colors".

Every other death game on the server ends when the warden simply says "We aren't playing this game anymore" so for consistency's sake, I think it would also make sense for Simon Says to be the same. I'll bring this analogy back up as an example.

Just my thoughts. The clip is different than what I originally thought I heard at the meeting, but I still think it's pretty relevant when getting nitpicky about what ends Simon Says and what doesn't.

That isn't necessarily the answer, just what I think about it. I'd wait till a Staff+ to give a definite answer.

Okay let's not complicate this more than it has to be, throw it down to simpler terms. Base off the jailbreak rules, it's as easy as said, 54 Simon says is over when a new game to play is stated. Jail Break General. Key word, "when a new game to play is stated", so as long as you say "hey, we're playing ____, come to my spray and freeze" or "come to my spray and freeze, we're gunna go play ____" simon says is then over as stated from the rules. Say if you say "simon says follow my spray into [game location]" not stated to play the game. "Follow my spray into [game location]" not stated to play, so you stay where you are. I'd argue that it's not word play, it's a simple order, game was never stated to be played. Simon says is suppose to be (should be) perplex.

It's apart of the game, "simon says do everything simon says, simon says im simon" by Simon saying "simon says simon says is over" or similar that officially ends Simon Says by the word of the game. But saying "we aren't playing simon says anymore" does not state in anyway that a new game is to be played, still stated by the wording of the rule itself a game must be stated to be played to ensure that the game Simon Says is no longer at play. Rather than wordplay, it's simply an invalid order. Let's not put too much thought into it all, keep it down to simpler terms.

Again, like I said previously, Simon Says falls under different rulings. Will just quote what I said above.

Just gonna quote someone who phrased it in the simplest way for others to understand. Tobi was in the wrong from what you’ve explained so far.

But you can't just say 'we're playing a new game'; that's like with the warning rule when you say "Rush to my spray and freeze, this is a death-game" but you can't actually say that, you have to be playing a game for it to be a death-game. I'm pretty sure with this you actually have to state the game you're about to play, not say 'we're playing a new game' or if not then it would actually be logical to do that, because if we restrict that from the warning rule, why can people say 'Rush to my spray and freeze, we're going to (or playing a new game) play a new game'.
