Remove dead chat. Used for ghosting/spamming/abuse. Dead warden telling cts what his orders were while dead. Promoting clueless CTs to not pay attention from start.
For our server particularly it's a little less about whether the positive outweighs cons or vice versa, but about giving the server a bit more leverage when it comes to rules adjustments, so forth. We would much rather have
each player enjoy being on the server than not which some find chatting in dead a highlight. Just don't want to restrict much from the server, especially something that doesn't necessarily affect the player base
(to an extent of course).
Though I
do understand the players tendency to spam, ghost
(not often), and generally disrupt game play with dry humor and as much as i hate saying it or even relying on the subject but
that's a lot where admins
should come in, muting particular groups and/or players to fit the expectations and standards of the server. When admins aren't online, submit a ban would probably be best suited unfortunately as it sounds. But I don't believe that taking that privilege away from the entire player base should be of concern, especially for those who don't abuse the dead chat, they shouldn't be getting the same restrictments, per se, as those who do.
Just to note,
they we aren't close-minded, just straight-forward.

Well speaking of the devil. I actually laughed at the different levels of failure this post now has.
Don't dial down now, just let the thread roll out, you don't know where it'll go
There's a very low chance that we'll disable the ability for dead to talk but it is an introductions to new possibilities and/or alternatives that can accommodate for the problem.
