Well the hitboxes for JB are no different than the hitboxes in other servers. Hell, I don't even think servers can change their hitboxes. Maybe it could be different with custom shop skins but we don't even have a shop or anything like that.

Wierd then. We have a skin for the warden, that might affect?

It's not a skin, just a color applied on top of the model. This still wouldn't change the hitbox.

The thing about knifing is it is mostly ping based, the lower your ping the faster it registers, if you have higher ping and you knife the .5 second delay (Because of lerp) may cause it to not be a backstab, but sometimes when you don't think it should be a backstab it is. It's weird sometimes, i'll still be looking at a T and he will back stab me, although i'm best knifer so yiggles is ez.
Although I am used to minigames where I just go through people (Noblock) and backstab them and people usually complain about it because they say I wasn't behind them.
