Idk if this helps but I cant have Gmod installed and play CSS, it somehow fucks with the integrity of my CSS files. I dont know what causes it but it wont let me launch CSS and if it does, wont connect to any server. I delete Gmod and the problem is solved. Gmod is like a 10 min dl so I just re download it when we play TTT lol.
If you have gmod though uninstall it and see if it works.

Nick it's just something fucked up with my connection. The only thing that changed between me having no problems and this happening was I moved to my parents house and now im on WiFi instead of business grade ethernet.
