I'm not saying get rid of it, it's been around longer than me and so far has seemed to work but its just food for thought. I don't agree with any kind of censorship period, this is the internet its supposed to be censorship free. I agree with a lot of the people in this thread saying how the idea of the separation was being presented was wrong and in a negative light. There are more helpful ways to go about bringing opinions then screaming about it in chatbox. However, Staff could also have simply asked for you to stop or had a one on one conversation before deleting or editing comments. But this brings me back to my biggest issue. I don't like the way Goldgames left the staff team but he brought up one important topic that has been on my mind since he stepped down. Why do Staff feel the need to hide things from us like we can't handle it? Why are there so many things that are hidden from us that we're not allowed to know about simply because they believe we are children that can't handle the truth? I saw Bri say she talks to staff regularly and communicates with them to fix problems. I applaud that. But why does it take only certain individuals to approach staff to fix things? Why are Staff not completely more open to come to us or communicate with us about whats going on or tell us things. DJ and I had a conversation recently about this and he suggested that we have a staff day where we all come in and speak to staff and they explain their roles and what exactly they do so they're not shrouded in mystery. If the mysticism behind the staff was gone or the gap between them and us as members would be bridged I feel it would help our problems tenfold. Then we can avoid things like censoring because the line of communication would be completely open.

I don't know where you are coming from when you say we hide things with you guys? Most of the things that come our way are problems from certain individuals. Therefore we deal with those situations privately. There is no need for others to know about somebody else's problems. It just creates drama or someone getting bothered by others over it.

Somebody/Some people said something about Staff+ hiding things, especially things that portray them poorly. I don't remember who was saying it or care, I just responded to it as a whole. I'm just saying I don't hide anything, and I wouldn't let the Staff do it either (if they even wanted to).

hey Matt, you just linked a bunch of threads that were either troll posts or reports in which you just about had to respond as to why you did what you did. Don't think it really aligns with Staff+ not hiding things. Also, saying Staff+ "hide" things sounds sorta like we're on a playground. The main concept is that there is an obvious distinguish between member (that includes elite, vet, elder) and the Staff+ team in terms of basically "what's going on", that doesn't include promotions, random private complaints, so on. But not trying to bash.

This coming Saturday, after the meeting has concluded I will open a "Forum" in the meeting channel for all those who wish to talk and discuss ANY TOPIC, ANY CENSORSHIP, ANY ISSUES, ANYTHING with myself and anyone else who decides to join.

This will be limited to only Members+, and I will personally keep it from being a mess.
