Is there ever going to be a area of the forums where the people who actually want to discuss things about egn can talk about it in the open instead of in private little groups of people we agree with until we whip ourselves into a frenzy and think anyone who disagrees with us is literally hitler and should be shot.

Cuz i have to say, im not a huge fan of all this shadow censorship with and without explanation. Also not being able to have my voice heard or hear other ppl's opinions on half the stuff that goes on here because apparentlywe are all children who need to be kept safe from other poeples words is a pretty big bummer too.

Every time i see that shit happening it just means a egn's gonna get further divided and the group a has less powerful ppl on it will feel jaded and leave while the other side will laugh say they won and call the ppl who left toxic and trolls anyway.

But too be honest i dont think thingswill change much unless the staff+ have a huugee shift in the way they like to run things.

Sadly instead of opening a thoughtful discussion where i can see and understand everyone else's opinion this post will probablybe locked and i'll be called a troll and a shit poster but i guess there's only one way to find out i guess.

Shadow censorship? You and THREE other people (not just you, imagine that) got comments deleted because you essentially began a rumor that would not have been good for EgN. Stop acting like you're all innocent and staff+ are just picking on you.

Instead of actually coming to any staff that were on when the comment got deleted to find out why, you bitched. Literally all you had to do was get on teamspeak and talk to whoever was on to find out and instead we got this:

You can have your speech and what not but when you try to further cause problems during a time where there is already issues being dealt with.... Of course your comment is gonna get deleted. Hit me up sometime. As most know I’m not the most skilled at tech and server stuff so I am our community relations guy. If this needs to change then this needs to be discussed with me so I can change it, and I am always very open to having those discussions.

Don't you guys know how to separate discussions on values and beliefs from the real reason we are all here, to game? If you take anything said on here seriously you are doing it wrong in the first place.

Its not a rumor its a belief, and i dont think pretending its not there will help, rather i think it will do even more harm to ignore it again. Your a great example of my point, you have been talking to only people you agree with for so long that you are openly hostile to other peoples point of view, thats exactly what im trying to avoid. This is a community i care about, you can accuse me of trying to sabotage the clan, tell me i dont matter here, that i've never done anything for the clan, am just a troll here to make people angry, and that the clan is better off without me. It won't be the first or last time someone has accused me of those thing but it will not stop me from continuing to always push for what i think will help the clan i've been a part of for years succeeding the long run.

I never once said i was a victim or was being treated unfairly. I am saying that i do not like the censorship tactics and think they have and will continue to hurt egn as a whole. As i stated i have No problems talking to staff+ but i find it difficult to communicate ideas about egn with other members to try and understandtheir point of view as well as communicate my own.

How will i know what problems you have with discussions, what there is to lose, what the is to gain, and how other people feel about it, if the discussion never happens in the first place?

All i ask is to be treated as if i am acting in good faith rather than trying to be a troll or shitposter. It's the same courtesy i extend to you and think it should be a given in any discussion unless given reason to believe otherwise.

This is a community where dicisons have to be made that will impact us all, how would you make any decisions without using your beliefs? I'd like to know for a friend.

I'm saying y'all need to learn how to discuss things without taking it personally. I know for a fact that there are people on here who have values vastly different than mine, and we can have discussions, but when we see each-other on TS or in game, that discussion is left where it happened. Then there are people who decide to hate those that have different opinions. Those people are the problem. We are here to game, and the companionship/community revolves around that. I don't care if you think the fucking Earth is flat. Have your discussion and leave it at that.

Case: Dyno thinks eggs go on the counter, I think eggs go in the fridge. We argued about it, and now we laugh about it, but both of us STILL think the same thing. We disagree, did it affect anything? No.
