I've been debating hard with my friends and I thought this would be a good topic to bring to the forums. So the discussion was mainly about virginity and when/how you should lose it. I argued for losing it to a "special someone" but I (personally) don't feel like keeping it past my college years. That doesn't mean that I'm just going to go frick some random lady, I still want there to be something special. I feel like relationships are going to come and go as time passes but it would be cool to give someone that value, I guess. I'm stuck between my word vs. my friends'. My friends argued that virginity is more of a religious idea that is messed up in it's own way in the idea that you give someone value based off of doing the act. Losing it to someone special seemed somewhat pointless. They believe that no one should be given that value because it could be lost in a forceful manner which might cause psychological damage due to giving in to negative thoughts based off of personal experiences.

So what do you guys think? This whole stupid topic intrigues me and I would love to hear what the community believes in. Lose your sacred, holy virginity to someone who means a lot to you, or lose it without care.

It matters as much as you want it to imo.

I think a lot of people want to lose their V card as soon as they can just to say that they've done it.

A lot of people use the excuse of "saving it for someone special" to rationalize their inability to get to that stage with someone.

But if you're being honest with yourself and it truly matters to you, more power to you.

Having sex is almost like a hobby, some people love doing it and form their lives around it, and others aren't that interested and it's an uncommon thing.

I think both outlooks personally are correct. Losing your virginity should be with someone you know you absolutely care about. Even if staying together isn't guaranteed or whatnot. Waiting til marriage is a ridiculous concept in my opinion simply because intimacy in a relationship is a big part of that relationship. What happens if you don't click sexually with the person you're married to?

Anyways from personal experience don't give your virginity away based on peer pressure or people telling you that you are "a bad significant other" if you dont have sex. All that leads to is heart break and regret. You'll know when you're ready and it'll probably be awkward the first time but it gets better xD

It’s a basic part of humanity that we over analyze the crap out of.

Sex isn't as special as everyone makes it appear. It's almost like another bodily function, like taking a crap every morning. I lost mine as soon as I could because I knew I would suck in bed and I was right. I'm much happier knowing how to please my woman than being some pure virgin noob.
