El Dewrito is being shut down by 343 Industries. The mod is still playable but the multiplayer is shut down (only P2P now) and development has stopped.

Correction! The mod's development has stopped but that doesn't mean that they are shutting down the servers or anything. You'll still be able to play with others. You just have to download the base game and the updater to get to the .6 update.

This seems to be Microsoft hinting to the devs they don’t want people playing it. In order to play you would have to torrent the download rather than just click a link on their site. If they don’t shut down at least servers Microsoft will probably just give them a cease and desist to force them to. If this is the case then the only hope for the mod will be if it is hosted on a Russian server or some other country where they don’t give a fuck. Same exact thing happened to multiple classic WoW servers.
