The worry would be that by having two platforms that we would dilute the user base for both of them. These things only work when there are people on em. Personally I have nothing against Discord - but I do think think it should be one or the other. Not both. Just my 2c
Teamspeak is nice and all, but it has limitations that discord doesn’t have. Additionally discord in one way is more advanced than ts3 in many fields especially bots. Not to mention that discord is more “user/community-friendly” when it comes down to interacting with other people. Add to that the fact that alot of modern communities have both ts3 and discord. Aside from that discord can be used for mass announcements that would actually show up as a notification for the people using the client which would help them realise or pay attention to current events and allow them to attend them if they are online and don’t know about them. It can also be used as a fallback method in the case that the site or box or both are down and we need some way to reach oht and communicate to our community. Therefore it can be argued that while ts3 is our main platform; discord is of utmost importance for us to evolve as a community and strengthen out bond with the player-base good sir!
