This is still them “trying to access a secret” which would make then a rebel. Regardless of if the CT knows where the vent goes, they are clearly trying to escape or messing with something they shouldn’t be. Especially if cels are open and orders are given. The rule is “No metagaming” not “no common sense”. If a T runs towards a vending machine in the middle of the round for no reason, you would still kill them for directly disobeying the orders. You may not know they are going to a secret but they are clearly not listening to the warden aka rebelling, which was talked about when the warning rule was clarified.

In a real jail if prisoners don’t listen or do they something they aren’t supposed they will be reprimanded. Same should go for jailbreak and the “roleplay” aspect of the mod, expect in this case the punishment would be death because CTs are limited by the game/rules.

This rule makes it frustrating to play as a CT, since you can’t know what’s “secret” are and can’t check the secrets to find active rebeller, therefore heavily enhanceing the T team to win

From my P.OV, they aren’t playing their role. For example, let’s say a T went to vending machine and is in vents, and that CT know he’s in a vent (based on sound) but since the rule takes place and matt said using sound is meta-gaming

so now, he has wait until that T comes out, purposely giving a T a chance to get a gun

Also, to add, we had always been playing Jailbreak as that and never had a problem (before the meta gaming rule) if a CT randomly went to vent, then it’s the admin job to enforce the rule and ask him or why they went to that vent but with this rule, it’s the same thing as the other rule but heavily trying to role-play on a J:B server makes player (from the ct) want to leave, since it’s unplayable for them (maybe why the server is losing population)

u didn't really read what i said...

ct's shouldnt know about secrets so u cant say "knife vent/secret to die"
also, if u say "freeze at my spray" and the T is in range of the vent he can knife it without disobeying an order in wich he wouldnt be killable.

Supposed to be since it’s a warday, two teams fighting, so it’s either the T is pursuing the last CT or the CT pursuing the last T, and have to go through secrets to find where he or she is and if not, then the T would just hide in secret for the whole round (if there’s no admin to enforce the beacon for both side)

This one has come up yesterday on canyondam with Terminator;

I hopped onto the server and I get asked to clarify this for what he did, I did and spoke with needy and she said my clarification was correct so I’ll put it in here so if anyone else thinks the same, now they don’t:

On canyondam Terminator was knifing the vent in between the two tables in front of the cells and gets killed for it because he’s knifing a secret vent. He asked me if that was allowed because that CT shouldn’t have known that what he was knifing was a secret vent (due to meta-gaming).

My Clarification: “You still can be killed for it even if they do not know that they’re knifing a vent. What is going on is while you’re knifing that vent, it outputs the sound of something breaking, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out where it’s coming from. From the CTs perspective, it looks as if you’re attempting to escape the prison and that is of course rebelling plus by knifing such secret vent, you’re rebelling anyway and your intent was or is to rebel.”

Also in a real life prison, if a guard sees a prisoner attempting to break the wall or floor, that guard will immediately sound the alarm and punish that prisoner (in this scenario the punishment is death).
