On Thursday, January 25, 4 different earthquakes absolutely rocked California. Over the course of this January alone, there have been over 15 earthquakes magnitude 2.5 or higher in or near California alone. It's predicted that the recent influx of earthquakes will continue, with 2018 having many more quakes to come. Though the quakes typically never hit anywhere higher than a 4.0, weaker quakes often precede much larger ones, striking fear and discussion among many about the possibility of The Big One, a hypothetical earthquake meant to register 8.0 or higher that is supposedly extremely overdue. If you live in California or live near it, you might want to prepare earthquake kits and practice survival routines in the event that such a quake strikes.

Ohh yah it's been overdue for years. We're gonna get hit by a big one soon and it'll be more devasting than the one that hit San Francisco back in 1989. That one was $6 billion worth of damage and killed 67 people at a magnitude 6.9
Thank you for this article small son. Very useful and informative! ?
