People in the US typically store eggs in the fridge. Studies have shown that after a few weeks eggs not chilled will spoil. Sorry I'm not going to store 60 eggs on my counter for 2 weeks. Same reason I put bread in the fridge, it lasts longer. Never had bread get moldy while chilled. My fridge is set just above freezing too. Ive eaten a tomato that was in there for a month and it was like new lol

my mom always has milk in the fridge, she gets really pissed off when we drink the last of it and there isn't any more in there.

Amazing debate. Isn't it common knowledge by now that food spoils slower when it's in a chilled environment like a fridge so that the bacteria doesn't spread as rapidly to the food? If you want your eggs to last longer, you put them in the fridge.
