When I turned 25.. a few days after I should say I had one of the weirdest experiences of my life. I came home after a long drive and shaved my head (was long over due for a haircut) and I got this weird tingle in the back of my head but I thought it may have been from the buzzing of the razor I was using idk. Anyways I noticed that my vision as a little weird like I had looked into a flash light or something. My vision was off clearly, I was trying to read words on my phone and could not see them. and then I got it.. The damn Aura. I noticed that a patch of my vision was completely gone and it was like.. Colorful TV static. and then my face and hands went numb.. like seriously numb. I was so scared I thought I was having a stroke. Oh man and then it hit me. The ice pick headache of death. I was crippled over in pain for 3 days. Its been 4 months now and the headache has never gone away. I've done two cat scans, blood tests, every over the counter medication you can get. Ice packs/heating pads etc. Going to see a neurologist soon. The headache is mild most of the time but still there, but today I got the Auras and numbness again and like last time, scared the ever living fuck out of me. So again I went to the hospital and waited 9 hours for them to tell me "Yes you have a headache". Great job Mr PhD. Anyways TL:DR - My question to you is does anyone else suffer from migraines? Or prolonged headaches that just wont go away? Really hoping to talk to someone that has had an Aura episode. Apparently they are really common in people that suffer from migraines but no one seems to relate. To be completely honest this shit is ruining my life. I was supposed to be across the country working and instead Im wrapped in my blanket in a dark room scared of having another episode. I'm usually an upbeat kinda guy but this illness or whatever you want to call it has really brought my demeanor down. I dont feel like me right now. Any input/advice or anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Nick

I get migraines constantly. Not as bad as yours. Well atleast not yet... Mine usually only last 2-3 days and I can't see out of my left eye at all usually, If I can see it's very spotty and dark. My mom has Aura migraines tho. Just like you. She has one constantly and has to take pills a lot. She actually had to stop working for a period of time because she couldn't sit in a office like she does and look at a computer all day. My mom I believe had to get surgery of some kind to make her migraines less severe. Mine get to the point where I can't walk or talk to anyone without having a very loud and high sort of ring in my head that hurts a lot. I hope you feel better soon Nick. Have your doctors said anything about surgery? Do you take pills of any kind? Really hope you feel better. Migraines suck :(.

Wow that sounds intense. Doctors can be useless sometimes. Only time I've gone is to check something in my balls lol. Even then they speculated and I bought my own damn equipment to investigate myself.
Anyway Whats your diet like? How much do you exercise?

Yep. Get them all the time. :/
Mine almost feel like, an intense, pounding brainfreeze, while being incredibly sensitive to sound and light that'll last maybe 3-4 days then come back within few weeks. Like it's complete shit. Mostly occurs when I'm sleeping (and can most of the time manage throughout the day, assuming it's when I'm least occupied) and generally, I can't go sleep for hours, then once I do I'll normally wake up around 2am because of it, get an ice pack and advil, and usually can't go to sleep for another hour or so (so if I'm ever online steam at 2am for some reason, it's probably because I have a migraine. That, or I'm studying). No, but actually like I've been having migraines for maybe more than a year or two. And the worst part about all of this is that I constantly have a mild headache, every morning, when I'm studying, just all the time. And I've gotten so use to it that it's still there but I just don't do anything for it now unless it gets really bad.
Though, I've been getting them a lot more recently, but I also think it's because my wisdom teeth have been coming in (hopefully it's because of that) and I just haven't been able to sleep most the time.
Aside from that, my go-to remedy is usually iced coffee (or iced anything) w/ advil. Also, have some daily vitamins specifically for migraines with vitamin B-2 and some actual migraine pills. Would just recommend searching around and finding what's best for you because all migraine treatments are widely different. Also, just keep yourself occupied. That's mostly what I do and I never get them when I'm just constantly doing, well anything.
To all the the ladies, peace, and humptiness.

I used to get them a lot when I was younger. I would have to call my mom during school because every time someone was talking to me in a regular voice it sounded like they were yelling at me. I would get to the main office and i felt like i couldn't see, the lights were like burning my eyes. Even when my mom or the teacher were whispering it still felt like I they were yelling at me. Now that I think about it it felt like my brain was coming out of my head, I couldn't read, write, or talk it hurt too much. I haven't had one in almost a year but I normally sleep it off with a ice pack or with some IBuprofen.
Needy/Wanty is the best person alive tbh
