Never give to the American Red Cross. Non-stop harassing me for my blood to the point that I have them listed in my phone as "vampires"

Also, they sell the blood at way above market value, and this isn't even to mention the scams they pull during natural disasters (see what they did with Haiti).

I donate to the New York Blood Center, I recently made the Gallon Club, technically I didn't donate a gallon of blood because I donate double red cells so they count each donation as double.

It's pretty cool, they give me points I can use for gift cards and stuff, and they get blood they can give to the vast majority of the population.

I don't really have an option. The American Red Cross is the only organization within any sort of driving distance when they do their blood drives. I receive the repetitive calls too, but if you have a problem with it, just block it? I left it unblocked because I knew I would answer the call eventually to set up an appointment.

They change their numbers every few months or something. It's creepy as fuck.
