Greetings, gang!

For those that do not know me, my name is Morgenstern(Danny). I'm 25 years old, work in the television/film industry. and travel a lot. I also do volunteer work as a street medic for rallies/demonstrations/etc. My most recent event was Charlottesville on August 12th; most horrifying day of my life. Came home with a concussion, bruised to hell and mental anguish.

Anyhow, I hope everyone is doing well. I'll be more active since I recently left my production assisting job on Homeland season 7. Needed to take time off for mental health reasons.

A couple folks from the medic collective I went with dispersed through the city, and we were outside of Emancipation park with the anti-fascists and church folks. Some guy kept taunting me, sayin' "come here, k*ke f*g." I walked towards him and he bashed me in my head with a steel flag pole. Luckily I got dragged away by some Black Lives Matter NYC folks. A local Anti Racist Action group identified the white supremacist douche as William Fears of Austin Texas, who is now in jail for attempted of murder from an incident that happened at a Richard Spencer rally in FL back in October. Karma is delicious.

Anyhow, I was less than 90 feet away from when James Alex Fields plowed into the crowd of protesters. A bunch of us thought it was a bomb at first and ran towards a parking garage(where Deandre Harris got beat a little later). Well, people started running towards us, saying a white supremacist drove into the crowd and mass amounts of folks were injured. I started running and accessing the damage. I saw Heather Heyer lying on the ground, talking to three street medics; two minutes later, her heart stopped and they couldn't bring her back. I picked up a shoe and stared at it for a minute, then snapped back into reality.... It is a day that will never leave my mind.
