IMO it's because ideally, the perfect JB server does not have or need admins and gameplay runs smoothly 24/7.

Most JB2 plugins reduce the things admins have to worry about, and therefore make gameplay smoother as admins no longer have to intervene in people yelling over each other for warden (warden plugin), nor do they have to intervene at the end of every round to moderate LRs (LR plugin).

That being said, if hosties is causing lag or something we should seriously consider switching plugins, as that's probably the single most common complaint I hear about the way the server runs.

My opinion is that people are sick of the same old vanilla jailbreak and like the change of flow once in a while.

I agree, I'm just saying the ideal or perfect JB server doesn't need admins ever, everyone follows rules and gameplay is never interrupted.

Of course that will never happen, as humans are gonna human, but my point is that the plugins we have push us towards that ideal.

The LR plugin makes life 30x easier especially when theres no admins on. There's really no disadvantage that I can see. Plus people being muted in the first 30 seconds avoids a lot of confusion of 10 people talking while warden is trying to give orders. Steady population has been significant since the introduction of Jailbreak 2.
