Swim. Please answer my earlier post, ignore what everyone is saying for a moment and can you please respond to Matt and I in regards to what we have said. That would be greatly appreciated. I have no animosity towards you, I would just like an answer, as you've said what you've needed, then we have replied. Generally it works that way, or are you unwilling to respond?

Let me rephrase everything i stated, when taking a plugin from off the internet, you should credit him in the post of where the NEW CT BAN was annouced and states "Credit and much gratitude to Dyno for making this for us." When matt stated this, it sounds like you made the plugin, which you modify but didn't create it. You did credit him in code, but nobody can't see the code unless they downloaded a coding program such as CodeBlock. And I mentioned that a member to a staff, is a huge jump, because it is, you are mature and active and helped out the EgN community, but when there's a ddos attack , and migrating the ddos attacks that are major, but if a ddos attack is minor, you shouldn't go full action. I never said you weren't fit for staff, but it's a long ass jump, if you actually think about it being a member to staff.
Maybe he does, he seems like a cool guy to chill, and taking action when needed, but goes full action when not needed. I have been really busy from school and work, but obviously I can't use that excuse. I know Dyno has done a lot of shit and is fit to be a staff, and I don't care about the staff seat, nor do i care about the chances of me promoted to Staff. I just want my voices to be heard, but nobody is going to take that shit.

If you didn't get what I meant, it means why you aren't fit as an advisor, so obviously had to go to your past example of being a staff. During that time, before the sethealth was being replaced, it was just you and Dyno in a channel in ts, then you took off the sethealth and fixed it, which i'm not mad, but I don't know if you actually notify or discuss the higherup, since I'm not you Am I? And the definition of making doesn't sound like modifying (make partial or minor changes to (something), typically so as to improve it or to make it less extreme) And, you shouldn't go on forum, when someone is answering their question, and repeating the samething and locked the post, at least add one or two more detail that someone didn't include about.

I fail to understand this bit. You call me out because you assert I didn't talk to other Staff about it, but then you turn it around and fault that on me because there's no way you would know? Wellll....exactly? So why make the argument in the first place then?

Did I use the wrong word to say he made the plugin? Maybe. I still believe I used the right word, but hey, I get that, maybe I used the wrong word, so I apologize for that.

Not going "full action" on a minor ddos...seems a little silly to me. Ddos is still a pretty big deal...after all, it is criminal activity, activity which EgN does not endorse. Hell, it's still rules being broken, and we are here after all to enforce the rules. Of course we are going to go "full action." Besides, I'm still wishing the ddos was minor.

See the problem? You premised your argument with knowledge that you now admit you never had. That's not an argument at all actually. So what is this? What's the point? What are you getting at? Because so far I've yet to see any sort of constructive criticism, or criticism at all for that matter. Only criticism I see is from Mr. GoldGames, who isn't even supporting whatever argument that you have.

That is where you're completely wrong. Define a minor DDoS attack? DDoS is DDoS and action should be taken regardless. As stated it is an illegal act, and NOT welcome here, curious why you think we've been dealing with minor attacks? I'd be curious as to where you got your information from.

Dude I think I speak for EVERYONE here, we are ALL approachable, and if you're not comfortable talking with one of us, there is plenty of others, you're always more then welcome to bring anything up in private, rather then "try to prove a point" or something whatever you're trying to do here.

Well as Dyno pointed out he talked to the original author of the plugin, and conformed to his wishes. The public convar (the place where author info is supposed to go with sm plugins) states who the creator was + the menu is only visible to admins and done at the original author's request. As a developer myself and so a big appreciator of getting and giving credit for original work and modifications It's my opinion that Dyno didn't do anything wrong.

The forum post's wording may have been of, but that isn't Dyno's responsibility and tbh happens all the time when people that make these posts aren't involved in the development of the software and so imo is def forgivable & unavoidable in the real world. It was an unimportant place to discuss copyright to begin with, but yes it could have been worded better imo.

Also, technical correction, you can't access the source code & an IDE doesn't know what to do with a compiled program, you'd need a decompiler or a HEX editor.

Dyno was promoted for his cumulative contributions to EgN, whether that was large or not is subjective to how you feel, but it was large relative to everyone else's contributions, I think you'd agree with me there? I don't want expand on this by stating the obvious.

Also whether Matt is a good or bad advisor will always be subjective to the individual, so I can't tell you to not feel how you do about him. But the more you do the more likely it is that you do something wrong, (someone who doesn't do anything can't do anything wrong). Still imo that wouldn't excuse him from major mistakes, but mishaps will inevitably happen, no one is perfect and it's impossible to cater to everyone at the same time. (I generalized my answer because what you explained to provided as one example of where matt messes up iyo, I interpret this as you being of the opinion that you think matt messes up more than he should and shouldn't be an advisor, this last point you did end up stating.). Again good or bad is personal & subjective, you may have incredebly high standards which matt may well not pass, but relatively speaking again, I wouldn't elect any other staff for the advisor position over matt, I think that point is very important. Again, I hope you can agree with me here because I don't like stating the obvious. (+some staff may take offense to a comparison so plz dunt make me *kitty eyes*)
