We've tried to explain the difference between being constructive with criticism and just being a douche, and all it's done is make him hide the abuse while trying to pose as being a victim.

I'm all for free speech but not when it's purely driven by hate and dislike of an individual, and it's fucked up when you mask your hate with good intentions. Not to mention he's been punished for attacking members before, for doing the same things I'm telling you he's done in private message to Staff+. Most of his hate for Goldgames comes from him locking threads that Staff+ deem as being disruptive or out of control or even abusive, many times we've locked threads where abuse is being hurled at someone only for those hurling the abuse to get pissed that the thread is locked.

Bottom-Line:

I don't ban for having a different opinion, nor do I ban for people expressing their feelings and thoughts as long as it's constructive. But I do take exception when people try to force others by abuse or coercion to be different, EgN is supposed to be a safe place for people to relax and discuss and talk freely among themselves as long as the rules are obeyed. I never like to punish people for the very reason I prefer this place be relaxing and casual, but when someone is abusive and rude and doesn't listen to warnings then what's left to do? Do I want Lunk to be a Recruit? Nope. Did he know this was coming? Yes. Has he been taking his punishment with dignity? Nope. Do I think he's learned anything? Nope. He still thinks that he needs to be abusive and rude since he knows best, he thinks he needs to do whatever it takes to get his way.

But hey...if you don't like the way things are and can't stand how things are managed then feel free to start your own community, it's the best method to understanding the pressures of leadership.

Let me just add that we had sit down with Lunk just last month about his behavior and whatnot. We were gunna demote him then, but, hell, gave him another chance. Down to the ground there was a pretty mutual agreement that regardless of Lunk's "intention" of his posts and behavior, the way he composes them is complete shit. If there's room for it to be interpreted negatively, then bottomline we told him to fix that. Undeniably, like I said, regardless of the intention this shit had to change and quite frankly it hasn't. Even besides that, it doesn't quite seem at all for there be an intention to be helpful. And this goes hell of a lot farther than the Staff+ too, Lunk's attitude towards other members hasn't been too...acceptable either. Here's one example of just the other day.

It could be looked at as a smartass attempt to attack Goldgames or it can be looked at as Lunk trying to clear up what drove him to lock the thread.

I've witnessed Staff being disrespectful to members on multiple occasions including myself, and I wouldn't be surprised if Lunk was met with that same behavior.

Lunk's rebellion being making jabs at Staff, which is looked at as him just being a dick but it's a lot more than that. He's caught up in the cycle of trying to express himself and him not being taken seriously, which gets more emotionally driven each time.
The bottom line is you're not understanding eachother, have you heard the term "hurt people hurt people"? Lunk is clearly upset with how things have been handled and doesn't feel like he can make a reasonable objection to it and be taken seriously.

Karn you've been running the show for a very long time, I know you already understand what I'm saying, but you've been dealing with this shit for too long and looking for an easier way to make everyone calm the fuck down.

Lunk isn't doing all of this because hes some piece of shit, he's doing it because he cares about the community, once emotions get in the mix everything gets fucked, you just have to look past it and see what he's really trying to say.
And I don't think the situation is any different because of his past offenses, part of looking at this objectively is seeing that he is trying to accomplish something with all of this, it's not 100% just a salty mess.
I'm not even close to Lunk whatsoever, I'm not doing this because hes my bff this is all impartial. I am NOT trying to make anyone look bad, everyone is just being subjected to a bad situation.

All I'm trying to do is reach a middle ground here, both sides are at fault and only one side is being punished.

I'm trying to explain this as best I can without sounding like a dick but I'm not sure how else I can say it.

I don't see whats so hard to understand, they're being fucks to him so he's being a fuck back, it's just a double standard.
I get it being an authority figure is stressful, that's not an excuse to act like a jackass.

We get it you don't care, no I don't want to leave the community because the people I do enjoy outweigh the people I don't enjoy.
That's as black and white as you can get it.

Can you link me to a complaint Lunk has made against Matt or Goldgames? Something that doesn't have to do with their rank?

Make the fucking complaints, post your evidence. But remember your making the complaints against the person NOT the rank, because I've seen a lot of "Rank" throwin around but no one's backed up shit.

I don't agree with Lunk, it's that simple. I don't agree with how he thinks or acts, nor do I have any plans to replace Goldgames or Matt.

And I felt that he was being abusive and a prick, I'm the guy who judges these things and then hands out the punishment. He was punished first by demotion to Recurit, if he gets voted in then he's going to Elite.

Did I kick him out? Nope. Do I care to? If he keeps his shit up then yes. If not then no.

The man can't control his nerves, ask Doldol the last time we "settled" a complaint via teamspeak he belittled and insulted me the whole time.
