I can not decide your future at the end of the day you're going to pick your own course

Dont transfer. I live 30 minutes away from CSUN (cal state northridge). Your credits probably will not transfer and you will essentially start over if they do not. I know a few people that have had this problem. Transferring any college credits can be a bitch in general as it is. Good luck.

Don't throw away what you've got so quickly, and yea most colleges tend to turn up their noses at other college's credits.

College's are business first, places of education second.

If you do move to CSUN area rent a 3 bedroom with me & my friend he's starting in CSUN fall semester and we're gonna be looking for roomates to split the rent with. Just throwing that out there.

I'll certainly take that into consideration.

As for MagiC and Kharn, yeah I get what your saying. I want to do the second option, but it's all about convincing my parents that I want to stay and hope they don't get disappointed with me.

I'd just neck yourself

If your parents get disappointed in you for choosing the to stay, then your better off staying regardless. That kinda negativity is gonna ruin your college experience.

Don't let your parents control you. My parents told me never to travel alone and that travelling is a waste of money that could be spent on a house. Sure don't regret the experiences now, and I sure won't think when I'm older "glad I didn't go to those amazing places and that I saved a bit more money for a house".

Maybe my situation isn't applicable and is a generalisation but it sure applies the principle that you should make your own choices because they make you happier.

UPDATE: My dad has sided with option two while my mother is still being complicated. My dad thinks it's a good idea right now, but doesn't know what I should do about my last year of college. Next year will be my junior year and that's the last year I'll be in PA. Now I have two more options that I need to consider. I'm really not sure, so I'll see what you guys think.

Option #1: Stay at my college for the next 2-3 years to persue a film degree. My junior year will be good since I have a roommate with me and I'll be working on many projects. However my senior year and possibly my super senior year will consists of nothing to do but school and really nothing for me. I could get more film assignments that could be good for my portfolio but who knows.

Option #2: Is I stay for my junior year at my current college, then move to California to a better film school. I'll be close to my family then I'll be in the college I want to be in when I head out there. So I'll transfer to CSUN, finish up my filmdegree, then start working out there. However the struggle to transfer classes is bad and I'll loose my car and car insurance as well. I could always get a new one but eh whatever lol. However I'll be at the college I wanted to be at this coming up year so I guess that even's out.
