ive always known the vip cell as the vip cell and cell is in the name
a warden just told us to go in but i said no in cell orders and left and i got shot and the admin on the server at the time said it isnt a cell because nobody spawns in it

It's a cell. But it's not initial orders and since the warden was having everyone do something as a group see no problem.

and no i hate math trivia and how anal cts play jb but what i want from this is a rule clarification since the rules state no in-cell orders and vip cell is a cell but i was killed for leaving the vip cell despite orders not being allowed to be made there

Sounds to me like you were being a smartass, which can you get banned btw. Sure it might be considered a "cell" but as no one spawns there I wouldn't call it one. The rule pertains to you and your cell in which you spawned and the instance in which you are "in it." Really being "in a cell" would require that the cell door be shut. Whether you consider it a cell or not, the warden can still use the cells for a fun game, so long as the doors are open, prisoners have already left their cells from a prior order, and the CTs are playing their roles.

And undeniably CTs have been stashing terrorists in isolation to play games, and that's definitely a cell, so I mean this isn't anything new.

Btw I agree with Matt as long as cell doors are open and since you can't really be trapped in there due to secrets it's basically the same as solitary and how many times have we had warday in solitary or fish in a barrel or whatever.

No, it's not a cell. We've sort of always held it to be that cells are any rooms that T's spawn in. This isn't exactly a new problem, as it has been brought up in the past, and I think we even had it said somewhere that the only places considered cells are the places that the T's spawn in. (Though I'm far too lazy to go find it)

but you still are making a ruling that i can put all the ts into a single cell and do games like math trivia, simon says, ect? as long as the doors are open? that seems a little messy doesnt it? and shouldnt the rules be adjusted to say these things instead of them being left up to interpretation? as it stands all the rule says is 58 You may not give in-cell orders. so i was following that literally but i guess there are additional rules to that rule that arent in the rules so you can imagine how that can be confusing to people


i didnt realize ts could be made to go into solitary as well, since the door automatically closes, ts do spawn in there, and it is a cell. i think you misunderstand the point of my thread, im not nitpicking because i want to make things harder for ts or gameplay more static and boring. im trying to make the server a better place by having these subjective issues be turned into objective solutions so rule confusion doesnt happen
