Then we have those fun people who vote yes on everyone and we get people in the clan who break rules and cause problems.
It's not hard to get in so long as you're active and not an idiot. There aren't enough people who always vote no for it to be any actual detriment to recruits. It helps keep the ones who don't need to be here out. Most of the recruits who spam apps are the ones who actually have people who dislike them and not enough who like them.
When I was an advisor if someone was just denied after recruit voting I'd tell them to wait a month before making another application as to prevent the spam.
