Okay, that's reasonable. Don't want this to turn into a shit throwing contest and this is a good way to do prevent it.

Fuckin what? I know these can be touchy subjects but that doesn't mean that discussing these things means that you are being hateful/racist. They are not synonymous.
As for what we do, what we always do. Trump, from his victory speech and some first day/week promises he has made, he seems like he is taking the position with the professionalism and seriousness it deserves. From the looks of it he is going to take a somewhat over the top conservative stance on some issues, a moderate conservative stance on others, with some liberal curveball stances thrown in. I never thought that I would say this but I really fucking hope this is true, he might not be a bad conservative president.
As for the Democrats, if they don't get their act together for 2020, they are gonna be replaced. They refused to change to the whim of their voter base and they paid for it by losing the presidency. They siphoned money from Senate/House races to pay for a failure of a presidential campaign and as a result they lost the House and the Senate. The fact that they conspired against Bernie Sanders way back in the beginning of 2015 scared a lot of liberal voters away and made their base apathetic at best and outraged at worst. The Republican vote has been about 60 million the last 3 elections, but the Democratic vote went down nearly 10 million and, if they are serious about wanting Kaine to run in 2020 and we have a repeat of 2016, that number will only plummet until it goes to zero. I was a person who, before 2016, would consider themselves a Democrat, but with the corruption that has been exposed in the DNC made me drop that label like it was a pile of dog shit in my hand and, unless they undergo some serious changes, I will not be voting for a Democrat anytime in the future.
