no training or even guidelines for new admins on EGN

I am not saying that the higher ups are lazy or doing a bad job, I enjoyed learning the ropes on my own. But I would never have gotten my admin removed if there was some sort of quick training session.

When I finally got my admin, I was very hesitant to use any of my powers because I had no idea what would be abusing.
I think I should have dug through the website more to find that one thread on how to admin, I agree. However, I soon learned that every admin has different styles, some will ban 3 people in 10 minutes for slightly mic spamming after they give a server warning, others will just completely ignore everything that goes on.

-and also on a side note since I lost my admin I have been playing for hours seeing stuff that I could be admining, like freekills its painful tcry

It's basically common sense, see it as first day training on a job Shadow the more "experienced" person, Training or not you would still be hesitant to use the admin tool, It's more common sense with how to deal with situations than anything else, 3 strike rule and you're out ezpz lemon squeezy

Common sense? That's too complicated!

I somehow managed not to get a complaint against me being admin in TTT and other Gmod servers we've had. And I didn't even take admin school or anything. I just read the protocols and got done with it.

Jedi - i'm not sure who gave you admin and when, but every higher up has been given instructions to walk you through the order of operations, admin specific rules and outline the expectations for ban reports.

But ultimately, If there is something you are not clear about then the burden of responsibility rests with YOU to seek clarification/help from others around you. You are right to feel hesitant to use you admins powers.

Here's a thought, try having common sense. If the door is locked, you can't open it. If the stove is hot, and you place your hand on it, your hand will burn. If someone does something bad, you ban them.

I don't think we need an "admin school" to know common sense. See the issue I've been seeing with you, is that you lack at doing your job sometimes. Once you ban someone, you need to do your reports. I don't care if you are warden, or you wanna have fun. Pass the warden to someone else, swap to spectator, then do your report.

If you would have read over the rules correctly and did your reports when you were supposed to, you wouldn't have this probelm. Staff+ have been saying this over and over, so this is on you. Don't blame EgN for your mistakes because they don't have a class to teach all the fucking idiots of this clan how to use common sense. There are posts everywhere on how to admin correctly.

Technically it's warning, kick, then ban. Gosh get with the program GoldGames. Withal having a properly managed Admin School wouldn't be too bad to teach the basics of being an Admin like, "How many minutes equal a week?" or "Why is this Veteran touching me?" Though you should still hold the responsibility for reading all the Admin Guidelines and coming onto forums occasionally to remain updated on How to Admin ft. mattlikespie10

Well two people in under management rank on the server got destroyed by Wartheft and lost it leaving me by my lonesome, xD
