DAT TRAINING
I had training on how to handle the situation, such as getting people to get the AED and getting someone to call 911. But it also is comprised of how to approach the person, what to do during a seizure, and how to make sure that he will be ok, and to provide certain care for the victim. Yiggles Moto wrote:
I watched my sister have a seizure once. It's scary stuff.
We were about to throw some laundry in the washer and she asked me if I wanted to do whites or darks first and then she fell against the laundry hamper and started seizing. At first I thought she was just being weird and trying to sit in the laundry basket until I realized what the hell was going on. Luckily both my mothers are EMTs and were home so they came downstairs and did whatever you're supposed to do. When she came back we told her she broke the hamper and owes us a new one and that she's not allowed to do laundry anymore because apparently that's too hard for her (Jokingly).
I didnt know what was going on at first either, but then when it went on for a few more seconds i knew it was something major. I hope your sister is ok now in the sense that she doesnt get them anymore.
