I can tell you're kinda new cause you're twitting at me. But if you bring it up in admin meeting or pass it on to.someone who understand your point of view. It can possibly make changes cause admin meeting are long.

We may be a gaming community but we all came from one thing jb. We have other games as well but population comes from members advertising aswell as managers. Managers have a harder type advertising cause people will use them because they want admin or of they don't get their way they leave and threaten you. "Your server only populated cause I'm here. If you don't give me admin I'll leave so will other people" etc

off that, Cool thing about JB is that its player base revolves around cancer, the only reason it stays afloat is because when something happens it gets shut down by the constant attention we give it.
For other servers like darkrp or our other dead servers with little to no population we suffer from lack of care and player base to keep them alive.
this player base is made up of two groups of people who play video games
A) the average player that isn't in a community and looks to either join one or just have fun
or
B) Players that are already apart of another community that either prefer our servers over their own communities servers or their community doesn't have the server in general.

with those groups combined create one unified group called the general public, these people look for well optimized servers that have good mods, friendly admins who don't break the rules,
fun maps that don't break the server, and a player base that isn't cancer.


and Phillp, advertising does work, sure some people don't care or try to abuse it for their own gain, but that only happens because you LET it happen.
at the meeting, we go over every server, even up coming servers and servers about to be dropped, this will give you time to talk about your server and get it populated.
after that, its up to you to keep up with the wants and needs of the servers player base, YOU and your helpers must listen to the player base and help out any way you can.
For others servers that need to garner attention to live, they also need to do this when the meeting happens.
YOU need to get the attention of the player, and YOU need to keep them happy.

@dave told it how it is, however i think phillip already knew that but just don't give a poop and would rather sit on his @$$ making excuses.

What we need to keep a server like darkrp going is a full team giving it support like keeping track of rules and admins, coding new features, and advertising. But on top of that, they need to actually be willing and able to work TOGETHER.

Since some of you seem so passionate an shit, i'll throw this out there as well;

If ryan, Charlie, snibbly, semi, (and dave if he wants too) actually want to starta team with me to work on dark together and show people how to properly create and maintain a server then i'll talk to the people to make it happen. If only one or two of you are interested then darkrp can be forever alone and suck a dic.

The reason that team would be so good is the skill set.

Ryan, Charlie, semi, and me can code.

Ryan, Charlie, semi, dave and me have beem admining for a long ass time.

Ryan, dave, and snibbly and me can all find easy ways to advertise.

With a team that size even i could make sure everyone has open communication and could work on tasks in a smart way,and not play phone tag like semi, phill, and lex had to do before.

In the end its all up to the ppl mentioned above (maybe with some help form volunteers) to decide whether or not this is something they want to spend 10 or so hours a week working on.
