That works for you but when it doesn't work for a lot of the other members then it's obviously a problem and I think people should speak up about it and want change. I appreciate the people that have voiced concerns like me

See, there is harassment and then there are people who dont get along, if the person is doing over a long period of time like a week and u keep telling them to stop, that harassment. If someone tells you to stfu your an annoying little shit, thats the Internet and by extension EgN.

So someone like black Knight following someone on forums for a month and insulting them every chance he gets, thats harassment and he deserves to be punished if he ignores people asking him to stop.

Idk why you have to tell people that just cuz its the Internet that doesn't mean people wanna hear you shit talk them daily but whatever.

The difference between these is if black knight is upset at you for some silly reason and joins the server for an hour telling everyone you have a small dick, thats not harassment. Its the Internet, if he just doesn't stop after and does it every day or for a long time, that's harassment.

I understand what you and simplistic are trying to say, but I was referring specifically to the part I bolded/enlarged/underlined in simplistics post I just couldn't shorten the quote for some reason on my phone. But anyway, what I was trying to say was Goop's point is that people are saying "It's EgN bro, what do you expect?" And yet Mr simplistic describes how people insulting each other and whatnot is common across the Internet, which is true, but he says "by extension EgN" ..... To me that sounds like he's saying if you come on an EgN server that's what you expect to see...well isn't that Goop's point? That's what I was getting at. I don't disagree with what simplistic is saying, just seems contradictory to include that statement.

Well sorta, and yet far from, he simply states that a lot of people in and around EgN, is on the internet, and EgN itself is also on the internet, that is why some people are dicks, sorry to say some people just always will be dicks, get over them.
I honestly don't give a shit if people make fun of me, but if they harras me for extended period of time, then I will make a complaint against them if they're a member, if someone on the server I will give them a ban to cool down.

But yeah, honestly people shouldn't be dicks to one another, but it is something about them, not us being the 'victims'. We didn't do anything wrong, and there is nothing wrong with us.

Just remember that everyone in EgN was voted in and at least half of the people who voted on them wanted them in for whatever reason. Any member related issues in this community are the community's fault. If you want that fixed most that can be done is a) Kick out a bunch of people who really don't belong here (Which there is a lot of people who have been accepted here that don't fit in, don't listen, and cause problems, but god forbid we kick anyone out for breaking rules or causing problems countless times, right?) and/or b) change the voting process to require several more yes votes than no votes for someone to be accepted. Sure, less people may get in, but you also have a decently higher chance that the ones getting in aren't many of the useless people we have now.

You can't change how the people in an online community act. All you can change is the kind of people in it.
