I would understand if this is coming from someone like Eagle, Alex, Oliver, or even myself, who are very active on Teamspeak...But for someone like for example (not to be rude or anything) Formula, Dexie, Gex, Even you, who only come on if they have a problem/issue that needs to be resolved or come on when they only play on a server with friends; Have not realize that for example, having 5+ people in a channel while playing Jailbreak, listening to orders and listening to ingame players and also listening to people on Teamspeak, can somewhat be annoying sometimes. A good use for my channel would be, when i admin on Jailbreak, i find it better to be alone in my own channel so I can actually focus, than to be in a channel with people constantly joining and leaving, or having 5+ people talking about random things that i don't need to hear. Even when i sit alone, its good to see people joining my channel if they have a problem that they need help with or a very urgent question that needs answered....but in the end... EVERYONE thinks differently.
Oh I know. I don't come on Teamspeak really because there's no real unity to it lol. Plus the clan members I do talk with, I usually do so on steam. The Teamspeak (well the clan in general I suppose) is just like a high school. Apart from the flings and side actions going on, nobody really likes each other. So everyone just hangs out in their own little cliques.

No. I understand that as well as the next man. That is why I am not on Team Speak. Because I can't hear the orders in game if i'm in a TS channel with 5 people talking. I'm old fashioned, I like holding social chats on steam chat, I talk to atleast a dozen EGN members on a daily basis about life and every topic under the sun. If i'm not playing CSS then I have music going, watching something, studying or working and hearing peoples voices would distract me. With Steam messages it is not distracting and I can reply to them later.

Doesn't help on the rare occasions I do go on TS every channel is password protected or I don't have permission to join either. The cliques in this clan are very real.
It's a known fact that whenever you get a channel, you isolate yourself from every other channel, which was the whole reason why private channels were a no-no for just a month ago.

Here's a novel idea: If you don't want to hear people on Teamspeak while you're playing...
Don't go on Teamspeak
It's like when people get briefly harassed or upset in a game, or if they join a game and people start talking to them and they say they want to be left alone. If you want to be left alone, then don't join something where you won't be left alone unless you do some special setting or something.

Better yet, you could always mute your sound, or the people who are "trolling" for example, Dave spams stupid sounds half the time, so you mute that fag or just mute your sound in general

I have a bind for muting my sound simply for situations like that.

I am in the same boat a Formula where I rarely am able to use Teamspeak. I sit in AFK while playing a game since most games its important to be able to hear everything going on. I also rarely use my computer when I am not playing games so I am not able to just sit in Teamspeak. I have noticed lately there seems to be an explicit requirement to be on Teamspeak to be able to know what is going on in the clan. However most people sit in the private channels most of the time. I spend most of my time in EgN on the servers or on the forums. I get the feeling that this makes is appear as I less involved member, which is probably why I was not included in the mass promotions in December.
My main concern is the communications to those of us who do not use Teamspeak. There was no posts anywhere regarding why Dexie is not longer in the clan, just a change to his recruitment status. This may be been covered in the meeting, except that was between New Years and Christmas and I was not able to attend. But no meeting notes are posted for me to review. This was just one example of recent items where there was no real postings on whats happening. So these private channels just seem to add to the lack of communication going on right now in the clan. I would love to hear some suggestions on how we can improve that, which I hope will not just be, go on Teamspeak.
