Dunces

I don't see how dunces can help keep the community together, I mean basically it just makes people point and laugh at a member, and it could cause resentment.
I'm not saying people shouldn't be punished, but wouldn't a better alternative be just to simply revoke their ability to post on forums, but without the extra drama?

You could always look at the 'drama' as part of the punishment. If you get dunced, you can't post and on top of that people 'point and laugh,' which is something most people don't generally enjoy to have happen to them.

Well I understand that it's not permanent, but what if it causes someone to leave?

Well I understand that it's not permanent, but what if it causes someone to leave?

You don't get dunced for jokes, so if you don't like getting dunced, don't do stupid shit, and don't get pissed at not being able to post for a short time.
