I recently saw the post about Quik and it made me think about how we treat others online.
We treat people online differently than we do in real life because we think it has no consequences, because we can't see them physically that we don't think about who is talking.
We need to remember that the people behind the online voice are real life people, with real life problems and real life fears like Doldol, Kharn, or Siberiac. We need to remember that just because they are online and they can't see you, that the way you treat people online can have real consequences, good or bad.

We need to remember that being with people online isn't an excuse to treat people like they're shit or lesser. I'm not pointing to a specific person, because I'm sure we have all done this before, me included. We need to remember that we are talking to real people with real lives and it isn't very different than talking on the phone to someone.

I treat people the same way, people online just take it up the ass. When people text a paragraph to me, I reply cool all the time. I say champ all the time. They just laugh because I'm joking around. But here, people just gotta whine about stuff.

It depends on how well you know the person, and how well they know you. When your on a forum and someone you don't know in the slightest posts something, you don't know what tone they're speaking in, nor do you know whether or not they're joking. Even if you tell them you are it's still going to seem that you're being an ass to them. Once someone knows you well enough to understand that your joking and to not care whether or not you insult them jokingly is when people don't have an issue with it.

Tbh I've always liked you. Your laid back attitude makes you better than everyone who gets so butthurt at your apathetic comments. You remind me of a friend of mine.

Nice comeback. It amuses me how you put off your faults to act confident. Confidence is the ability to admit to your faults without losing your head over it, so that's not exactly working out for you.
