Lots of immature kids in the clan? I think not.

In mafia(Old EgN) this is what we did. We had an age limit of 15, I was way younger than that at the time, but if you were mature and active in the community the (Probably staff nowadays) Ssg^ and higer ups could decide to let you in. This is much better considering we could let younger people join and know there mature before they do. This honestly keeps it fair as some younger people want to be active and help the community where as the age limit prohibits them from joining.

I could always implement verification via eID, haha.

EgN is constantly growing besides the people that you see leaving. Every month we get larger and larger. Yes it's at a slower pace, but you have to realize that there's years and years of experience with the higher ups knowing what works through trial and error. There's fewer new members than before, but they're of quality rather than quantity.

You're somewhat correct, but not entirely. The level of maturity establishes with puberty. Males hit puberty generally around the age of 14-15. Not to say that boys under that age do not have the mentality to act older and more mature, but looking into joining a clan were half of the members lack maturity isn't attractive, and will not carry a developed clan very far. For girls, it is generally the same thing. Except girls generally hit puberty around the ages of 12-13.

Bottom line: A clan filled with immature members will not look good for the clan and certainly wont attract more mature players to join.

There's already a couple of immature people that are over the age limit. I still would like the limit to go away, it doesn't make sense to limit applications, and then spend all this time to verify if they're actually 15 or not, especially when they can bypass the rule by lying. That's why it's called a "restriction", to "restrict" the amount of potential members we could receive, that could be nice additions to the clan. But I talked to Kharn, and learned it was a "group" decision.

, I see your point, and with all due respect, I still think EgN would be better off without the restriction, but then again I'm fairly new, and this is just my opinion.

True, I guess. However, most of them become inactive, leave, or get kicked out due to their immaturity after some time.

Usually, you can tell if someone's lying. Their voice is abnormally high, they are abnormally immature, etc.
That's why it's called a "restriction", to "restrict" the amount of potential members we could receive, that could be nice additions to the clan.
If a player really likes the clan, and really wants to join, but is, say, 12 or 13, I'm sure the higher ups would allow them if they were mature, kind, etc.
But I talked to Kharn, and learned it was a "group" decision.
Why the " "? If it was a group decision, they were clearly all in agreement that this was for the better of the clan. Most of the higher ups are at least 18, so I'm sure they know what they're doing.

Okay, but look at it from another point of view, why would higher-ups waste their time verifying if a person is over the age of 15, by hearing their voices, and looking at other sources of information about them? It's a waste of time in my opinion. It would best if we don't judge someone by their voice.

But then this leads me to the next point, why have restrictions when we have monthly voting sessions on who deserves to be in the clan or not? If the person isn't wanted by the clan he is generally kicked out, and someone who deserves to be in EgN gets to stay. See my point, in that this is a contradiction?

And the reason i used the quotation marks was because, that is what Kharn said exactly, not for sarcasm, it's to QUOTE, hence why they are called quotation marks.

Most importantly, it's just my thoughts, my ideas aren't facts, they are merely notions that come to mind about this topic.
