Hello EgN! I am here to tell you that EGNCraft is going to be going down tomorrow ,Wednesday the 17th. Once the server goes back up, you will notice that everything will look completely different! The EGNCraft will no longer be a faction server, but a Towny type server. This new server will move further away from TNT cannoning and more towards PVPing. By PVPing we mean actual player vs player, not raiding.

1.) Serf (Randoms)
2.) Knight (EgN Members)
3.) Baron (The Viscount’s advisor’s.)
4.) Viscount (Generally the owner’s of the towns. Must consult the Baron’s before making decisions.)

Lower class - Normal Player - Grey
Upper Class - $5 Donators
Pages - $10 Donators
Squires - $15 Donators - Orange
Guardian - $20 Donators - Pink
Lord - $30 Donators - Dark Blue
PeaceKeepers - $40 Donators - Green

FAQ

Q: Why are you doing this?
A: The server is, as most of higher-ups in the clan see it, beyond repairing. That’s why we’ve chosen to give it a go and completely revamp it. Everything, more or less, will be changed somehow wether it be plugins, server structure or leadership.

Q: Will the server completely reset?
A: Yes. We’re starting 100% fresh. Ranks, perks, kits, plugins. You name it; it’s changing.

Q: Will we loose all our items?
A: Unfortunately, yes. However, compensation will be given out during the first few days of opening to our active members.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS TO MY FACTION!?!!?!?! MY LIFES WORK!?!?!
A: We can’t save faction data and transfer it to Towny, so all factions and faction bases etc. will be lost. We’re starting fresh with a brand new idea for a server. As above, some sort of compensation will be given out.

Q: What’s this compensation I hear?
A: Free stuff. Everywhere. Random draws for donor ranks, massive drop-parties, special kits available to everyone who joins etc. etc. Tons of magical stuff!

Q: Will bans carry over?
A: It’s EgN policy to keep a database of bans and transfer all bans to new servers etc.. Given this, all bans will transfer, even if we have to manually put them in. Sorry for any inconvenience. All temporary bans will, however, inevitably re-set. Permanent ones will stay forever, and ever and ever.

Good Job Guys Keep It Up!

I thought I'd give you guys a little update.
Basically, the world is up with many of our plugins already active.
Me and echo000 have been hard at work, not only for installing, but also testing.
Xanatos has served as my bitch to edit major things in our permissions file. Groups are ready, perks are ready.
Now we just need to configure the last kinks in Towny, install a few more plugins and we should be good to go.
Running smoother, better and more fun than ever! I hope you guys are ready :D

Quick question: When Chubby gets back is she still going to be able to help with the server is has she been taken off the admin board?

Just like anyone else that gets inactive, they cannot fa-fill the role they get removed, it's how it goes everywhere.

Well, anyone who was previously an admin has been removed for re-setting reasons.
It's basically like the old server got shut down and we opened a new one. Everything is changed, and that includes ranks.
Chubby, shad0w and NastyStevie are more than welcome to help out etc. but none of them have their old ranks :r
Actually, Shad0w is on the server right now, helping out with making our server spawn :3

Can we have some ranks for Elites and Veterans?

Due to issues several people have confronted us with, there will no longer be a platform of ranks that are the same as the forums.
It causes alot of confusion with members outside of the clan.
We have a new ranking system, and members/elites/veterans will be bumped to higher ranks according to their forum rank, but they will no longer house the same name. Similarily, there isn't separate ranks for each forum rank.
