5. Grand Theft Auto IV
Here's a game that gives you so much, a diverse interesting storyline, a variety of interesting characters, cameo appearances from celebrities, an awesome soundtrack and addictive, immersive gameplay. I usually find myself just cruising around Liberty City in a PMP 500 listening to Classic Hip-Hop before jumping into a car chase listening to epic Jazz anthems and fast-pased electronic travelling music. The mere fact that it's an achievement to finish this game in under 30 hours says so much about how epic a game this really is. Even after I'd finished the game I was only 70% through. So many extras, so much to do and so much replay value.
4. Call of Duty 4
In the time when I was CS:S clanless, I got hooked on this game. I had a PS3 at the time and the multiplayer was so much fun. This was before the game had it's formula approach, and having bought MW2, I wasn't that impressed personally. I'm not sure how the Call of Duty series is now but a lot of people say this is the best one and I would probably have to agree. If I was going to include two Call of Duty games, Call of Duty 2 would take 5th spot on this list but anyway, what can I really say about Call of Duty 4 that hasn't been said already.
3. Resident Evil 3
Having completed Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3; this one was my favourite. I really enjoyed 2 and a lot of people place Resident Evil 2 ahead of 3 but I found that 3 was more fun to me personally. The decision-making parts of the game added so much to it, you know those scenes where Nemesis is around and you have to act quickly, yeah... this game is so memorable to me. The watch-tower, the police station, the office scenes, the waste plant. Yeah, what a game.
2. The FIFA Series
I feel like this is a biased choice but I must have dedicated just as much time to playing FIFA over the years as I have playing Counter-Strike. This is a series that took the sports world by storm in 1995, and reached it's peak at 2000 before taking a backstep to the Pro Evolution Soccer series but in recent years, FIFA has become more than just a football game. This is the game that is always first on my christmas list, the new features, the physics and to go with that, the awesome multiplayer. I know people who don't even watch football or have an interest in football but still play FIFA. That's how good these games are.
1. Counter-Strike Source
As I look on my Steam page now, I have exactly 1467 hours of gameplay. I've been hooked on this game, I've hated this game, this game has been my life only to slap me in the face but I just can't stop playing. I don't think I'll ever stop playing CS:S for as long as I live.
Not sure how many people will read that, but I felt like giving my thoughts on each game. c:
I think I'm like the only one that did indeed read it :D
