Hey, I play on the JB server alot, my username on the forums is a reflection of my steam name so youll know who I am, not that its important. A lot of new kids are starting to use autism as an insult, calling the server itself autistic and so on. I dont think thats cool. Autism is something youre born with, I know a little child who has it, hes the most adorable thing but it fucking sucks cause he cant behave himself in a social setting. Using this disability as an insult is as dirty as calling some the n word. Not being an asshole is a major rule in this server aswell, and I know it gets broken a lot but I personally think making fun of mental disabilities should be against the rules because it sets a bad example to the people who play the server of what kind of environment we play in. Were playing to have fun and pass the time, not to insult eachother using a new sort of disability. Its like calling someone a retard, once or twice i get it. But when the whole server is doing it, calling eachother autistic i think it needs to stopped or nullified. They better get creative and find something new to insult eachother with because autism isnt funny to joke about.

It's not that we don't care, but your post is not where it belongs. I was on Jb when this happened. There were, indeed, a few of us (myself included) making a bit of fun about the fact that too many people were acting as if they were mentally challenged (screaming in the mic and whatnot). This stopped soon after and everything returned to normal. Being too easily offended and forcing others to obey each and every individual's perceptions and expectations can sap the fun out of the game real quick.

If you want something to be done about it, request permission to attend the meeting this Saturday from the higher-ups to bring it up, or ask a member to bring it up on your behalf, and someone will send you the minutes that Eagle takes so you can see what gets done about it.

In terms of the discrimination, I deal with it on the servers in the same way as I deal with racism. I dont have tolerance for discrimination, and whether its a joke or not I frown upon it. Of course if it's a jovial, light-hearted comment, I sometimes don't recognise it as being an issue, but now it's brought to light, I will start cracking down on it, as I like to think our servers welcome everybody to play them, and would hate for anyone to feel oppressed on the servers.

We're always watching the servers, enforcing the rules, and trying to make it a better place for people to enjoy spending their free time on.

A.) This is the internet, everyone is entitled to say whatever the fuck they want. If it has consequences​ or not, that is a different subject but for the time being calling people retard, faggot, autistic, etc. Does not. Only thing that does, is racial slurs. So until New rules are added, either grow thicker skin, brush it off, or simply leave. Second, what does a personal view point of you knowing an autistic child have to do with anything? I know a shit ton of cool gay guys, doesn't mean I'm going to stop making gay jokes. Same goes to moms, but I'm still going to make shitty yo momma jokes. Who cares?. And finally point iii.) Did this really irritated you enough to make a forum post about it? If so you might want to rethink who you are complaining to, because everyone here is super nice but pretty much have the same sense of humor. Such as insulting each other, borderline sexual harassing each other, and saying stupid shit in general. I understand if things get too far, then you make a post but your post seems to be just banning the use of autism because you feel uncomfortable. And to be honest that's bullshit.

I can see why it's misconstrued. Racism is largely seen as a more pressing issue, and so we crack down on any type of racism, even jokes about it are stricly a no go. Whereas jokes about other things are seen as acceptable, and I think, we as a community and team of admins need to crack down on this in order to make everyone feel welcome on the EgN servers, because everyobdy is welcome and we'd hate to think somebody saw the servers as a hostile environment because their personal issues are being poked fun at.

But what he explained it didnt sound like everyone was being an ass. It sounded more on the lines everyone was just being loud and joking bout autism. There's a difference between being an asshole and using trigger words like faggot, autistic, and such.

See the issue I personally have with this statement is where does it stop? So we right now we can't be racist, next we cant insult disabilities, what's next? We cant be sexist? Okay then what? We can't use pronouns such as he, she, her, him because we can't assume genders? We can't always be politically correct all the time. All the fun of these servers is the communication that happens on the server. People says the stupidest shit on this all the time and it's funny and memorable. But yeah sometimes it goes to far but those times you report it or get an admin. Personally I feel like the set rules right now are fine.

Good point of McNugget. Where do we draw the line? We have to find and maintain a balance for such things, and not simply interdict everything that might offend even a single person on the server. Said person who says nothing on the server when the events unfold, so that admins may do smth about it on the spot. While racism is clearly off-limits, when it comes to more light-hearted matters, I don't see them as a problem, unless it is being brough to the attention of an admin on the srv, and for good reason.
