No, I'm not. It's just a very questionable choice. How does being away on deployment for months on end and putting your life at risk seem like a good choice to make while raising a child? To me it seems like one of the worst career choices possible under these circumstances. I would never do that to my child if I had one, imo very irresponsible, and there is are a ton of different (and better) ways to make money. When you have a child it's your and your partner's responsibility to actively be there for and support him/her, I don't understand how you wouldn't be able to see that a military career isn't the best way to do that per se....
