So my steam account was stolen recently. Meaning I won't be playing any games for a while.

My friend sent me a suggestion to use csgomagic to get some skins for csgo. I thought to myself yeah why not and went onto the site. It prompted my to log into my steam account so I typed out my credentials and before I hit enter I thought about what I was doing and closed out the site.

After that, my steam wouldn't log in which was weird. My email and phone number we're then removed from my account. I've filled out all of the steam help information I can and am just waiting on a response for that to hopefully get my account back.

DO NOT USE CSGO MAGIC :'(

Just wait on steam support to respond to your account, they'll probably have you verify an old e-mail, payment information, or something else. Do you not have Steam 2 factor on your phone? this should've helped prevent this kind of thing.

2. the 3 numbers ont he back
3. the expiration datee

Now you should know next time you don't type in your details to site's that you are unfamiliar of, or is not secure. I hope you get your account back though!

Come to think of it, I've been using a lot of .tf sites recently for TF2 items and hats, I should be careful too. You'll get your account back but don't expect Steam Support to rush. It took them two weeks to get mine back when I got hacked, even though all I had to do was prove I had purchased a game linked to my Steam account.

If you ever need to sign into a website using steam and it says you need to log in again as if the timer has expired, do yourself a favour and before typing anything just go to the steam website and make sure you're signed in there. If you're not already signed in then do that and go back to the site you want to log in to. If you're signed in on browser then it'll show your profile name avatar etc but if it doesn't show that then it's a phishing site. Comes in very handy

Isn't it good so long as it's got that green lock in the top left along with the Valve Corp [US] at the top? Don't know if they'd be able to gather whatever you type in there though.
