On friday the 27th of april the leader of North Korea (Kim Jong Un) and the president of South Korea (Lee Nak-yeon)
had conversations about the future of the Korean peninsula.
At the start, before the talking happened, the South Korean president invited Kim Jong Un to cross the border and grabbed his hand while doing so. After this Kim did the same thing, wich was a historical event.
Kim Jong Un is the first North Korean leader to cross the border to South Korea.
the 2 leaders talked about the future of the 2 Korea's and about PEACE. A peace treaty is 1 of the demands that north korea wants in order for them to stop theire nuclear program.

The conversations between the 2 leaders came with much kindness from both but also from surprising statements and pledges from Kim:

“I came here to put an end to the history of confrontation.”
this meeting (even tho it was recently) has had alot of positive reactions from all around the world.
It could set the tone for a meeting between Trump and Kim later on in wich they would probably talk about the sanctions that are placed on the North.
But apart from statements and agreement for a peace the South also reaffermed his promise of making investment in the North to help build up the country and let it prosper.
the thing everybody is waiting for now is a signed treaty between the 2 Korea's and the (possible) talks with Trump.
