I have this laptop called Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM, so far, it's pretty good for the price and doing outside purposes such as college work.
That was one of the laptops I was considering too actually but figured since it was one version below the one I linked might as well go for the more up to date version seeing it's a little above my budget

I'd spend the bit extra and get one of these. I have one and can game on it and do whatever else I need to
Would go for a real nice gaming laptop but wanna keep below $500 so I could continue upgrading my desktop and why have two average compatible computers when you can have one OG one

If you use google ( docs, slides, gmail, etc. ) i would get a google chromebook, I don't know if you can game on it ( prob not ), but it's very light, and easy to use and take anywhere. There are a lot to choose from, like from 100$ to like 350$. I know nothing about what you need for college but I have had mine for 3 years and this year are school gave us one and it works really good for writing my papers.
but i need mi windows

Does it have to be a laptop? You could probably get a ~50% more powerful desktop for the same price. Also would be able to upgrade it when you have the money.

If youโre looking for a good gaming laptop under $500, itโs pretty much non-existent. Iโve looked for hours before I finally built my PC. Build your own PC if you have the option.
Actually currently upgrading my desktop atm which is why I'm tring to keep below $500; mainly need(want) a laptop for college for inclass and when I'm not at home. And not a good one in particular; just doable.
