So I've been using a dell Inspiron 15 5000 series laptop which has not been connecting to the router. Opening the back of the laptop has shown me that the antenna cords that hook up to the wireless card had been disconnected. This leads me to my situation, I cannot reconnect the wires as there is a gray plastic part holder that I cannot remove. In other words, I REQUIRE ASSISTANCE. Anyone happen to know a solution?

a couple things u can do
1 get a usb wireless adapter dongle theyre like 20 bucks
2 use a precision/mini needle nose plier and a 90deg pick tool and try to fish it out. u gotta be real careful not to damage the wire tho, the wires are extremely thin and dell makes those wires really snug and dont usually leave much slack. if you look in that little square above the wlan adapter opening, its the white wire.
3 disassemble the case and reconnect it the proper way. its not that hard just remember the thread pitch is usually the same but the lengths might be different

it shouldnt b a driver issue. he already verified the antenna wire is disconnected in the pic. if his device manager doesnt recognize the wlan adapter, then hes got a driver issue as well. some adapters will idle out tho to save power if the antennas not connected so that should be the first thing to fix.

UPDATE: After multiple attempts to reconnect the wires to the card we're unsuccessful, an attempt to solder the wires was made. Waiting for the metal to cool before reassembling the laptop
