Aktorn - Ack torn.
As for the foreign words, felagi means comrade, you were correct in the heathen bit, and Bidsteall if I recall correctly means halt. Bidsteall and haedene are old Saxon, and anything else foreign is old Norse, taken from a translation site for old languages. This story is set in 8th century, and Aktorn is Slavic and doesn't understand their language properly which could be where some dialogue flaws are.
I'm glad you liked it! What were your favourite scenes?

I'm glad you liked it! What were your favourite scenes? I am real liking the names Rognwulf and Aleifr, ha and ouch. Tough question. Hm, I'd probably say the last few paragraphs once the entire massacre on the sandy beach took place. There was literally so much suspense and it was so good! I was hoping for more though, erhm. |

There is a deeper story behind it (and before it) and I've been thinking of writing a prequel for that contest piece to tell the story of Aleifr's father, and tell the story of how Aleifr gets his revenge, but I haven't quite gotten around to it yet. I think I mighthave some other stories to share though, and sorry for taking so long to reply! But I'm really glad you loved it!
