Green Street Hooligans 9/10
This is the best new movie of any genre that I've seen in many months.
A good friend of mine suggested it. The film depicts the culture and violence presented around English football, as I'm not certain if the portrayal of London football hooliganism is accurate or exaggerated it definitely caught my attention. Great all-around film.
Stutterer 10/10
Stutterer is a short film about a young man with a stammer, a speech impediment which, in less politically correct times, has been the object of humor for some, but it is certainly not funny for those who have suffered from speech impediments. Being around 13 minutes long, it's an incredible and insightful film. In fact, it had actually won these years Oscars as the best live action short film. Highly recommended.

Rubber
A movie about a tire that goes around and kills people, and people are watching. This movie starts out saying that there's no reason to the things that happen in this movie and then tries to provide examples of it in other movies by asking why things are and then says "no reason" but they can and do absolutely have a reason. This movie makes little to no sense what so ever and the only real enjoyment that I got out of it were the good effects in this movie and how laughably bad and confusing it is.

Drive
An interesting movie about a getaway driver for hire who gets caught up in an ex con's protection money shake down.
It was pretty average. I wish they focused less on the driver's love affair and more on his actual escapades as a driver since at the start we see what he is like.
5/10.
But there's been tens of hundreds of movies like that. Honestly, you'll probably never top the Fast and Furious in that regard. I haven't seen Drive in a while but I remember really enjoying it on first watch. The star power in that movie is crazy. I watched Refn's follow up to Drive, Only God Forgives, on Monday. I'd give it about a 7/10. It was... well... pretty much the same as Drive in a lot of regards, right down to Ryan Gosling having few lines of dialogue and spending most of the film shooting a look. Same narrative link-ups, it has subtlety but can be a little "huh?" at times. It was really violent, there's a scene where a guy gets his eyes slit open by a knife, fucking disgusting. Not a must-watch to any extent but I enjoyed it.
I mean I can understand that pretty good. I just wish the movie didn't dedicated the first 30 minutes to this dude's career as a get away driver then have the next 45 just be about a love story gone wrong. Eh just my 2 cents
Also John Wick. 10/10 movie. A lot of backstory that was never covered, letting the viewer imagine what the gold coins, The Continental, etc be about. Action scenes were probably one of the best. Gun Fu movies done right always seem to have the best action scenes. Keanu is still an amazing actor.

Fantastic Mr. Fox 10/10
This is why it was a box office failure. Parents didn't allow kids to see it because it had smoking drinking a violence, teenagers, and adults who aren't Wes Anderson fans didn't see it because it was advertised as a kids movie. It was amazing though. Humor was on point.

Crystal Fairy & the Magical Cactus 6/10
The whole movie seems to be amounting to something terrible, that scene, the fish head, her trying to resurrect the dead rabbit but in the end, it's just so anticlimactic. Edward Sharpe is the perfect soundtrack for the film though. I also like that they actually took mescaline during the filming of this.
