Is it possible to make a thread to discuss the knife vent thing in detail before the meeting so we dont have to spend an hour talking about and can just refer to the post instead?

Ultimately the knifing vent thread/rule comes down to the Staff+...y'all making a thread won't help, you already did. We said we'd discuss it so just cool until we have a response and post it. Until then, move on, at least on this thread.
Otherwise, like Charlie said, please come up with other topics for discussion during the meeting or make more threads on possible problems. Thanks
