The evermore successful business visionary Elon Musk, who helped to establish organizations like Tesla, Space X, and Paypal, has recently expressed AI represents a risk to humankind's existence.

Elon Musk Tweeted on Sep 4. 2017-
Quote:
China, Russia, soon all countries w strong computer science. Competition for AI superiority at national level most likely cause of WW3 imo

This is not the first time Elon Musk has expressed his concern with the further development of AI.

Even though machines today can only perform the operation they are programmed to do, many AI experts conclude that artificial intelligence could outsmart humans within the next 30-50 years, if we continue to develop AI.

AI has the potential to drastically improve our lives and make the world a more efficient place, but there are many risks that come along with pursuing to progress it.

Artificial intelligence may not be a pressing matter at the moment, but it could definitely be in the years to come.
