Early this morning there was an attempt made on mugging West Ham's forward, Andy Carroll. [Ex-forward for Newcastle United]

2 robbers on motorbikes followed Andy Carroll in attempt to steal his £22,000 watch from his wrist but Andy Carroll didn't let it happen.

Prior to this incident, Andy Carroll thought it was a prank but as soon as he knew it wasn't, he made a U-Turn and fled.

He described the incident as "life threatening" or in his words, he feared for his life.

One of the muggers was named in which is called Jack O'Brien.

The video below shows 2 guys on motorbikes heading for Andy Carroll. The bike marked in the green is Jack O'Brien.

The person marked in red has not yet been identified/caught.

In result of the attempted robbery, Jack O'Brien will face 11 years in prison.

Jake O'Brien has previous reports of attempted robbery with the same headgear and jacket.
