I'm still working my way through but I rolled a Knight since I like to sword and board. Though I did find a Irithyll Straight Sword when i left the Undead Settlement.

One of my first accomplishments in DS1 was parrying all his attacks on a new character without getting completely fucked up. It's these accomplishments which make the game so much fun.
